I had a call from a colleague this morning about his trees. Every year he applies dormant oil / lime sulfur to his trees as a preventative. He is worried it may be too late as we have had such terrific weather this spring.

An interesting morning. I love mornings. I love spring mornings when the plants are all dripping from the overnight rain. There is a low cloud, it is misty and drizzly.

I just saw my first ad on Facebook referencing lawn fertilizer. It is far too early to fertilize your lawn. If one of the big box stores has fertilizer on sale, great, buy it and wait until late May to apply. Better yet go to a local garden centre and support a small business. They … Read more
